NEPSE Records Marginal Decline
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a modest downturn of 6.26 points, settling at 2012.07 points during Monday’s trading session, marking the second trading day of the week.
Trading activity remained vibrant with a total turnover of Rs 2,874,754,305.75, fueled by the exchange of 7,290,200 shares across 63,015 transactions.
Notably, Gurans Microfinance Limited and Mai Khola Hydropower Limited showcased positive momentum, hitting circuit breakers in their share prices. Mahuli Microfinance Limited also stood out, witnessing a significant surge of 9.44 percent in its share value.
Conversely, Falls Power experienced a notable downturn of 9.98 percent, followed by declines in Himalayan Hydro (6.27 percent), Upper Lahure Khola Hydropower (6.17 percent), and Dhaulagiri Microfinance (5.73 percent).
Sarbottam Cement Limited emerged as the most traded stock of the day, with transactions amounting to Rs 472,917,632, reflecting investors’ keen interest in the cement sector.
Despite the overall dip, individual stock performances indicate diverse trends within the market, hinting at potential opportunities for investors amidst the fluctuations.
