Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey Resigns

Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey of Gandaki Province, representing the Nepali Congress (NC), has tendered his resignation today. Pandey formally submitted his resignation to State Chief Dilli Raj Bhatta this Wednesday morning.

The decision comes in the wake of the CPN (Maoist Centre) withdrawing its support to the Gandaki Province government back on March 6. This move has added to the ongoing political instability within the province.
