Gold Prices Hit New Record High, Reaching Rs 139,000 per Tola
The price of gold in Nepal has surged to unprecedented levels, with fine gold reaching a new record high of Rs 139,000 per tola on Friday.
This surge, amounting to Rs 2,400 per tola, marks a significant spike in recent weeks, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the precious metals market. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 139,000 per tola, while standard gold is trading at Rs 138,350 per tola.
This increase comes after fine gold was traded at Rs 136,600 per tola and standard gold at Rs 135,950 per tola on Thursday.
In contrast, the price of silver has remained relatively stable, holding steady at Rs 1,750 per tola. It’s important to note that a tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams.
