Country Experiencing Partial Influence of Westerly and Local Winds
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds and local winds.
Presently, the weather is characterized by partly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of the country, while the rest of the nation experiences mainly fair weather. The Division has forecast partially cloudy weather in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province, with predominantly fair conditions expected in other areas this afternoon.
There is a likelihood of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at isolated locations in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province. Additionally, the Division has indicated the possibility of rainfall and snowfall at isolated spots in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province.
For this afternoon, there is a chance of storms in certain areas of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, with a continuation in some places of Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province into the evening. The Division advises precautionary measures as daily life activities, agriculture, health services, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air travel in these areas may be partially affected.
Tonight, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, while fair weather is anticipated in the rest of the country. There remains a possibility of light snowfall at isolated locations in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, along with light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in the hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province.
