Japan’s Foreign Minister in Nepal for Official Visit
Japan’s Foreign Minister, Kamikawa Yoko, arrived in Kathmandu this afternoon for an official visit, following an invitation from Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
Upon her arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kamikawa was welcomed by Foreign Service Secretary Sewa Lamsal. This visit marks Kamikawa’s first official trip to Nepal since her appointment.
During her stay, Kamikawa will meet with several high-level officials, including President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. She is also scheduled for bilateral discussions with Minister Shrestha at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Additionally, the Japanese Minister will tour cultural sites in the Kathmandu Durbar Area and visit Mandala Book Point in Jamal. A dinner in her honor will be hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha later this evening.
Kamikawa’s visit is set to conclude tonight with her departure on a Nepal Airlines Corporation flight.
