Two DIGs Promoted to AIG

In a significant move within the Nepal Police, Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) Umesh Raj Joshi and Bhim Dhakal have been elevated to the rank of Additional Inspectors General of Police (AIGs). Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, confirmed the promotions following the meeting. According to Minister Sharma, the decision was taken based on a recommendation forwarded by the Home Ministry, underscoring the government’s intent to bolster the leadership within the national police force.
