Sita Dahal Memorial College of Naturopathy and Yoga Science to be Established
In a recent announcement during the joint meeting of the federal parliament, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun unveiled ambitious plans for the healthcare sector in the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/82 BS (2024/25). Among the highlights was the government’s commitment to establishing the Sita Dahal Memorial College of Naturopathy and Yoga Science.
Minister Pun emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that it will contribute to enhancing healthcare options for citizens. The college will be situated within Kathmandu University, aligning with the government’s broader strategy to bolster academic resources in the field of alternative medicine.
As part of its comprehensive healthcare agenda, the government has allocated a substantial budget of Rs 7.50 billion for health insurance. This allocation reflects the administration’s dedication to ensuring access to healthcare services for all residents, with a particular emphasis on inclusivity and affordability.
Minister Pun reiterated the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services across the nation. He emphasized that the establishment of the Sita Dahal Memorial College of Naturopathy and Yoga Science represents a significant step towards fulfilling this commitment.
Furthermore, Minister Pun pledged to streamline existing social security programs and health insurance schemes, aiming to eliminate discrepancies and ensure seamless coverage for all citizens.
