Kantipur Media Group MD Accuses Home Minister of Suppressing News on Fraud Scam
Sambhav Sirohiya, the Managing Director of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has made startling allegations against Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, accusing him of attempting to stifle news concerning his alleged involvement in a cooperative fraud scam.
In a bold move, Sirohiya released a video statement on Friday morning, disclosing that the Home Minister had approached the media house, requesting them not to publish information regarding the scam under the guise of an ongoing investigation.
Expressing grave concerns over potential censorship and undue influence, Sirohiya revealed that the recent arrest of Kailash Sirohiya, the Chairman of KMG and Sambhav’s father, was perceived as a retaliatory measure orchestrated by Home Minister Lamichhane. According to Sambhav, these charges were seemingly concocted in response to the media house’s refusal to comply with the minister’s alleged request.
