FNJ Announces Election Schedule for New Leadership
The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), the umbrella organization representing working journalists in Nepal, has unveiled the election calendar for selecting its new leadership. The elections are set to be conducted during the upcoming general convention, with voting scheduled for July 7, 2024, according to an announcement made by the Central Election Committee of the Federation on Friday.
The voting process will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 7. Key dates in the election calendar include June 27 for the filing of nominations, with the list of candidates to be published the same day. Any complaints regarding the candidates will be addressed, and a final list of candidates will be published on June 29.
Additionally, the election committee has set June 24 as the deadline for filing complaints against the voter list. The final voter list is expected to be published on June 26, ensuring all electoral preparations are completed ahead of the voting day.
