APF Inspector Assigned to KP Oli’s Security Found Dead

An Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector assigned to the security detail of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been found dead in his residence.
Inspector Umesh Thapa, 42, a permanent resident of Suryavinayak Municipality-9, Gundu, Bhaktapur, was discovered unconscious in his bed at 5:30 AM on Saturday. Thapa was immediately rushed to Bhaktapur Hospital at 6:30 AM, where he was declared brought dead by the medical staff.
Thapa was the officer responsible for the security of UML Chairman Oli’s private residence in Balkot.
The Bhaktapur Police Range is currently investigating Thapa’s death. The body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj for postmortem to determine the cause of death.
