PM Dahal actively searching for constitutional loopholes: MP Gaire

Thakur Gaire, a Member of Parliament from the CPN-UML, has sharply criticized Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, accusing him of actively searching for constitutional loopholes despite being in the minority.

During a meeting of the House of Representatives, Gaire urged the Prime Minister to facilitate the formation of a new government. He accused Dahal of attempting to exploit constitutional ambiguities to obstruct this process, thereby sowing instability and division within the country.

Gaire emphasized that once a government loses its majority, it lacks the moral authority to cling to power. He called for the Prime Minister’s immediate resignation to allow the formation of a new government, noting that the opposition has attained a two-thirds majority.

The UML lawmaker suggested that the government should step down rather than cling to power despite its minority status.
