One nabbed with Rs 3.8 million of undisclosed source
A person has been arrested with Rs 3.8 million in cash, the source of which remains undisclosed, from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-22, Sundhara.
A team of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, apprehended Madhav Shrestha, 48, of Bharatpur metropolis-15 along with the cash.
Similarly, police also seized a scooter (Bagmati State 2048 Pa 8130) and a mobile set from Shrestha.
Meanwhile, police have nabbed Maniram Poudel, 52, of Kathmandu Metropolis-7, who had been absconding after a case of banking fraud was filed against him.
The District Court Kathmandu had, on June 16, given permission to arrest him on banking fraud case. A team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Minbhawan, arrested Poudel from Kumarigal, Kathmandu.
Further investigation into the case is underway, according to police.
