Communications Minister Gurung assumes office
Newly appointed Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has assumed the office today.
Taking charge of the office at the Ministry in Singha Durbar, he decided to carry out legal and institutional restructuring of the subordinating agencies of the ministry for safe and effective use of communications and information technology systems.
He also directed the employees of the agencies under the ministry to work proactively in a way to bring outcomes. “I am with you from leadership level to support your work. I expect full-fledged support from you for legal and institutional reforms for effectiveness of the services of the ministry”, he said.
Minister Gurung who took charge of the first-ever chief minister of the Gandaki province won the House of Representatives (HoR) member in the last general election from Lamjung constituency-1.
