Home Minister Lekhak asserts investigation on over murder of former Assistant Minister
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said the police have started closely investigating the killing of former Assistant Minister for Land Reform, Ram Chandra Raya.
Speaking in a meeting of the House of Representatives today, he said the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has already left for the murder site at Chandra Nagar Rural Municipality in Sarlahi to investigate into the killing. Eighty-year-old Raya was found murdered at a farm in Sarlahi.
“Investigation is being held by taking under control people working at his house. A search is mounted for three more persons who have not been identified,” the Home Minister said, adding that a team of senior officer along with technical team from CIB has been mobilized at the incident site and this team is carrying out a thorough investigation.
The former Assistant Minister Raya was found murdered using sharp-edged weapon on Sunday.
