Man dead in Balkhukhola flood

A man died in a flood occurred in Balkhukhola last night. Police said that the dead body of Ram Swarup Mahato, 45, was recovered from the river near Balkhu in the Capital City.
The Spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Dinesh Raj Mainali, said that Mahato was residing in the squatter settlement in Balkhu area.
Likewise, the heavy rain happened last night triggered flooding in the Bagmati River and all its tributaries including in Hanumante, Manohara, Dhobikhola, Godawari, Bishnumati, Balkhu and others.
Mainali said that some of the settlements on the riverbanks in the Kathmandu Valley are also inundated.
