Nepal has secured a place in the semi-finals of the CAVA Women’s Nations Volleyball League by defeating the Maldives. In the last group stage match held at the National Sports Council complex in Tripureshwar today, Nepal triumphed over the Maldives in straight sets with scores of 25-8, 25-19, and 25-18.
With this victory, Nepal finished second in the points table and will face Iran, who finished third, in the semi-finals.
In the other semi-final match, India, who topped the league stage, will compete against Sri Lanka, who finished fourth.
The first semi-final between Sri Lanka and India is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm tomorrow at the same venue, followed by the second semi-final between Nepal and Iran at 5:15 pm.
