Youth Dies After Jumping from Hospital Roof in Kathmandu
A tragic incident occurred at the Manmohan Cardiovascular and Transplant Centre of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Saturday, where a 21-year-old youth lost his life after jumping from the roof of the building.
According to the Maharajgunj Circle of Nepal Police, Sworupraj Acharya, a resident of Gokarneshwor Municipality, died after jumping from the sixth floor of the building. The incident took place around 3:00 pm.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Nath Poudel stated that Acharya had been drinking coffee at Ace Café, located on the sixth floor, before the fatal jump. Reports indicate that Acharya was a regular visitor to the café.
Despite efforts to save him, Acharya was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to the hospital. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
