Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba Meets Indian Counterpart S. Jaishankar in New Delhi
Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, currently on an official visit to India, held talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in New Delhi. The meeting focused on various aspects of Nepal-India relations, mutual interests, and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions between the two ministers covered a wide range of topics, including mutual assistance and the enhancement of bilateral cooperation. The meeting is seen as a step towards strengthening the longstanding ties between Nepal and India.
Foreign Minister Rana Deuba arrived in New Delhi on Sunday at the invitation of External Affairs Minister Jaishankar. This visit marks her first foreign trip since assuming office as Nepal’s Foreign Minister.
During her visit, Rana Deuba is scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening. This engagement is significant as it represents the first high-level visit from Nepal to India since the formation of the government under the leadership of UML President KP Sharma Oli.
The visit is expected to further solidify the relationship between the two countries and explore new avenues for collaboration.
