FNCCI Announces Rs 10 Billion Investment to Boost Start-Up Entrepreneurship

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has unveiled plans to invest in the development of start-up entrepreneurship.

At the inaugural session of ‘Startup Nation 2030’ today, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal announced the establishment of an investment company with a capital of Rs 10 billion. The company, initiated by FNCCI, aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and will operate as an autonomous body capable of investing in various companies.

President Dhakal emphasized the importance of both foreign direct investment and domestic investment for the nation’s economic development and prosperity. He noted that the company was set up through institutional investment.

Dhakal also called for an enabling environment to foster start-ups and new entrepreneurs. He proposed the creation of an Incubation Centre and Innovation Centre targeting youths. Additionally, the FNCCI, in collaboration with the Sudurpaschim Province Government and the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is advancing the establishment of an Incubation Centre.
