Tourist arrivals in Nepal for August 2024 saw an 8.3% increase compared to the same month in 2023, according to data from the Nepal Tourism Board. The country welcomed 72,719 tourists last month, an increase of 5,566 visitors compared to the 67,153 arrivals in August 2023.
The majority of tourists in August 2024 came from India, with a total of 25,832 Indian visitors recorded. This rise in tourist numbers reflects growing interest in Nepal as a travel destination, contributing positively to the country’s tourism sector.
