First Memorial Day of Former Constituent Assembly Chairperson Marked Today
The first Memorial Day of the late Constituent Assembly Chairperson and former Vice-Chairperson of the CPN (UML), Subash Chandra Nembang is being observed today. A commemorative event will be held this afternoon at the CPN (UML) office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, to honor the memory of the departed leader.
Party Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the gathering, according to the Prime Minister’s private secretariat. The memorial meet will also see the participation of other senior leaders of the CPN (UML), as confirmed by UML Central Office Secretary Bhishma Adhikari.
The late leader had a distinguished political career, having been elected to the National Assembly in 2048 and 2051 BS. He also won parliamentary elections in 2056, 2074, and 2079 BS, and was elected to the Constituent Assembly in 2064 and 2070 BS from Ilam.
Today’s event serves as a tribute to his significant contributions to the party and the nation.
