Police Arrest Three for Fraudulent Abroad Employment Promises
Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly defrauding youths of Rs 2,385,000 with false promises of overseas employment.
The arrested suspects are Sushant Singh, 30, from Siraha Municipality-7, currently residing in Sinamangal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9; Sallauddin Beg, 36, from Krishnanagar Municipality-11, Kapilbastu, also living in Sinamangal; and Raju Dahal, 53, from Phedap Rural Municipality-8, Tehrathum, currently staying in Hattigauda, Budhanilkantha Municipality-8, Kathmandu.
According to Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Singh allegedly deceived two individuals out of Rs 840,000 with promises of sending them to Dubai. Beg is accused of cheating two people out of Rs 720,000 by claiming he could secure jobs in Kuwait, while Dahal is said to have defrauded three people of Rs 825,000 with false assurances of employment in Croatia.
The three suspects were arrested from different locations in Kathmandu following complaints lodged by the victims. They have been referred to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal for further investigation and legal action.
