CIB Raids Call Centers Operated by Chinese Nationals in Lalitpur

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police conducted a raid on a call center in Lalitpur on Wednesday night, following reports that Chinese nationals were renting properties and engaging in crypto transactions and fraud.
CIB spokesperson, SP Hobindra Bogati, confirmed that 50 employees were detained during the raid, along with various documents found in the office. Most of the individuals detained are Filipino and Chinese nationals.
“For now, we have detained 50 people working at the office,” said SP Bogati. “We are investigating to determine who will be released and who will face prosecution.”
Preliminary investigations by the bureau have identified three main operators of the call center, with further inquiries ongoing.
