President Ramchandra Paudel’s Message on Constitution Day: A Call for Unity and Responsibility

On the occasion of Constitution Day and National Day 2081 BS, President Ramchandra Paudel emphasized the role of Nepal’s Constitution in uniting the country’s diverse society and ending various forms of discrimination. In his message of best wishes today, President Paudel highlighted that the Constitution has successfully woven Nepal’s ethnically, religiously, culturally, and geographically diverse communities into a single thread of national unity, bringing an end to the oppression historically imposed by a centralized and unitary system of governance.

The President expressed confidence that the observance of Constitution Day would encourage political parties, leaders, the government, and state institutions to become more democratic, just, and result-oriented. He also voiced hope that the occasion would inspire collective efforts toward achieving lasting peace, good governance, development, and prosperity through Nepal’s federal democratic republican system.

President Paudel took the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of political activists, citizens, and leaders who played key roles in Nepal’s various political movements. He recognized their efforts in establishing the republic and praised their leadership in these struggles. Additionally, the President expressed heartfelt condolences to the known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the pursuit of a republican system.
