Death Toll from Floods and Landslides Rises to 233, Rescue Efforts Ongoing

The death toll from the recent floods and landslides across the country has reached 233, with 22 individuals still reported missing, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The disaster has also left at least 169 people injured.

Home Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari shared that 17,120 people have been rescued from flood and landslide-affected areas. Rescue operations are being prioritized by the government, alongside efforts to provide immediate relief to those impacted.

The government is also focusing on repairing damaged highways and restoring transportation to ensure that relief materials can be delivered to affected areas efficiently. All security agencies have been mobilized to expedite rescue and relief operations.
