President Paudel Offers Prayers at Dakshinkali Temple, Addresses Flood Damage and Reconstruction Needs

President Ramchandra Paudel, accompanied by First Lady Sabita Paudel, visited the Dakshinkali Temple this morning, where they offered prayers to the goddess Dakshinkali Mata and received tika and prasad from the priest.

Located in Dakshinkali Municipality, south of Kathmandu, the temple is regarded as one of the major Shaktipeeths in the Kathmandu Valley, attracting a large number of visitors during the Dashain festival.

During the visit, Dakshinkali Municipality Mayor Mohan Basnet presented details of the damage inflicted by recent floods in the temple area and requested relief for victims, as well as assistance for the reconstruction of the temple. He highlighted the urgent need to reconstruct the Kathmandu-Makwanpur roads to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.

President Paudel expressed his sorrow over the loss of property caused by floods and landslides in the region, assuring that he would draw the government’s attention to the temple area and the necessary road construction and relief efforts for affected victims.

Upon his arrival at the Dakshinkali temple, President Paudel was warmly welcomed by local residents and officials from the temple management committee.
