Hydropower Companies and Financial Institutions Contribute to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

Domestic and international hydropower companies, along with financial institutions, have contributed substantial amounts to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The contributions were officially handed over to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his residence in Baluwatar today.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, India’s largest hydropower company, National Hydropower Corporation (NHPC), represented by RP Goyal, donated Rs 10 million. Additionally, Arun-III Jal Vidyut Project Limited’s CEO, Prashant Sharma, provided Rs 10 million, Prabhu Bank Chairman Devi Prasad Bhattachan also contributed Rs 10 million, while Prime Commercial Bank Chairman Rajendra Das Shrestha donated Rs 3.1 million.

Further contributions included Rs 2.5 million from Prabhu Insurance Limited Chairman Rajendra Malla, Rs 2.5 million from Shiksha Bhattachan, Chairman of Prabhu Mahalakshmi Life Insurance, and Rs 2.5 million from LP Bhanu Sharma, Chairman of Prabhu Capital.

Prime Minister Oli expressed his gratitude for the generous support extended by these organizations, emphasizing the importance of such contributions in aiding the relief efforts for people affected by disasters across the country.
