Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Joins Global Progressive Alliance
The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has officially become a member of the International Organization Progressive Alliance, following a decision made during the Alliance’s world conference in Santiago, Chile, on Monday. This membership brings JSP into a global network of socialist, social democratic, labor, and progressive parties.
The conference, which includes 190 political party members from around the world, unanimously voted to admit JSP Nepal as a new member. Approximately 200 representatives from Progressive Alliance political parties across all continents participated in the event.
JSP Nepal was represented by party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Foreign Affairs Department Head Arjun Thapa at the conference. The convention highlighted key issues such as freedom, social justice, human rights, gender equality, the elimination of socio-economic and caste-based discrimination, and environmental protection, all in the spirit of international solidarity and progressivism.
