RSP President Rabi Lamichhane to be Taken to Kaski Following Arrest Warrant in Suryadarshan Cooperative Case

Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is set to be taken to Kaski after being issued an arrest warrant on charges of misusing funds from Pokhara’s Suryadarshan Cooperative. The Nepal Police have initiated legal proceedings following the warrant, issued by the Kaski District Court, which permits an investigation into Lamichhane’s involvement in the case.

SSP Dan Bahadur Karki, spokesperson for the Nepal Police, confirmed that further actions would be taken against the former Home Minister after his arrest. However, SSP Karki did not provide specific details regarding the police’s plan for arresting Lamichhane.

The Kaski District Court’s ruling today allows the police to investigate allegations that Lamichhane, in collaboration with Geetendra Babu (GB) Rai, founder of the Suryadarshan Cooperative, misused cooperative funds, transferring them to the Gorkha Media Network. The District Police Office, Kaski, has been leading the investigation into the case.
