Three New Ministers Sworn In to Lumbini Province Government
Three newly appointed ministers in the Lumbini Province government took their oath of office and secrecy today. Janmajay Timilsina, the new Minister for Social Development from Bardiya, Devkaran Kalawar, Minister for Forest and Environment from Nawalparasi (West of Bardaghat Susta), and Adesh Agrawal, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law from Banke, were sworn in by Province Head Krishna Bahadur Gharti.
Timilsina and Kalawar represent the Nepali Congress, while Agrawal hails from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP). With their appointments, Lumbini Province now has 11 ministers, including five from the CPN (UML), five from the Congress, and one from the JSP.
The reshuffle follows Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya’s recommendation to the Province Chief, solidifying the coalition government formed with the support of 56 Provincial Assembly members from the Congress and UML.
Key figures present at the oath-taking ceremony included former Chief Ministers Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary and Jokh Bahadur Mahara, Speaker Tularam Gharti, and Chief Minister Acharya.
