Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba to Visit China Ahead of Prime Minister Oli’s December Trip
Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba is scheduled to visit China in late November, ahead of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official visit to China slated for early December. The dates for Foreign Minister Rana’s trip are yet to be finalized, though plans indicate the last week of November.
The visit follows a recent meeting between Foreign Minister Rana and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to Ekraj Pathak, the Foreign Minister’s Press Advisor, Ambassador Chen extended a verbal invitation, with formal paperwork expected shortly. “After receiving a formal invitation, she will proceed with the visit at the end of November,” Pathak told Setopati.
Prime Minister Oli’s visit to China is scheduled for December 2-6, 2025. Upon receiving his own invitation, Oli requested Foreign Minister Rana to prepare for an advance visit, underscoring Nepal’s intentions to strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation with China.
