Vote Count Results of Local By-Election-2081 Released

The vote count results for the local level by-election-2081 held on Sunday have been made public, showing significant electoral outcomes across various regions.

Rojina Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSSP) has been elected as the ward chair of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, defeating her closest rival Laxmi Ratna Maharjan of the CPN (UML), who secured 2,220 votes, according to the Election Office.

In Kirtipur Municipality-1, Nepali Congress candidate Ichha Kumar Maharjan has emerged victorious with 562 votes, surpassing CPN (UML)’s Harsh Maharjan, who garnered 498 votes, the Election Office confirmed.

Kumari Sauden of the CPN (UML) has been elected as the chairperson of Sirijunga Rural Municipality-3 in Taplejung district, securing 353 votes. Her closest competitor, Ambi Sauden of the CPN (Maoist Centre), received 251 votes.

In Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Nepali Congress candidate Arjun Prasad Tiwari has been declared the winner with 2,063 votes. His rival, Rabin Kumar Pradhan of the CPN (Maoist Centre), secured 1,560 votes, as reported by Chief Returning Officer Awani Mainali Bhattarai.

Lastly, CPN (UML)’s Sakibul Khan has won the post of ward chair in Ramgopalpur Municipality-2 in Mahottari district, receiving 631 votes. His nearest rival, Aiti Kumari Yadav of the CPN (Maoist Centre), obtained 534 votes, according to Chief Returning Officer Rajkumar Koirala.

These results highlight the competitive nature of the local elections, with a strong presence of multiple political parties across various regions.
