Government Committed to Enforcing Law Equally: Home Minister Lekhak

No Changes in Government or Coalition

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring equality before the law and taking strict action against individuals involved in criminal activities.

Speaking to journalists in Chitwan, Minister Lekhak emphasized that all accused in cooperative fraud cases would be held accountable. He assured that investigations into the misappropriation of cooperative funds would be impartial and that those found guilty would face legal consequences.

The Minister also addressed a recent incident involving a social media post of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in police custody in Kaski on charges related to cooperative fraud. Lekhak stated that police have been directed to take action against the individual who shared the photo and to investigate any lapses in security and custody management by law enforcement personnel.

On political matters, Minister Lekhak dismissed speculation about changes in the government or its ministers. He asserted that the current coalition government would remain intact until 2084 BS, maintaining stability in governance.

The remarks underscore the government’s focus on upholding the rule of law and ensuring accountability while signaling political continuity amid ongoing challenges.
