Managing the Party Is Nepali Congress’s Main Challenge: Leader Singh
Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has identified internal party management as the primary challenge currently facing the NC.
Addressing a Metropolis-level assembly organized under the party’s 100-Day Special Campaign by the NC Kathmandu Metropolitan Committee at Chhetrapati today, Singh emphasized the importance of active membership in the party’s functioning.
“The main issue before the Nepali Congress today is whether we can effectively manage the party,” Singh remarked. While acknowledging the significant number of active party members, he stressed the necessity of ensuring their understanding of the importance of active membership and engaging them in party activities.
He highlighted the NC’s history of struggle for democracy and its role in establishing democratic values in Nepal, emphasizing that active membership is a crucial component for a party of its stature. Singh called for addressing internal issues through dialogue and collective decision-making.
Singh also urged the Kathmandu Metropolitan Committee to prioritize addressing the grievances and challenges faced by the residents of Kathmandu. He expressed confidence that the 100-Day Special Campaign, led by senior leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, would play a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s organizational base.
The campaign is part of the NC’s broader efforts to consolidate its presence and resolve internal issues as it works toward future challenges.
