Deuba to leave the Prime Minister’s Residence on Thursday

Outgoing Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will leave the Prime Minister’s Residence in Baluwatar on Thursday.

On December 25, Deuba was relieved of his post after Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the chair of the CPN-Maoist Centre, was appointed the prime minister.

After being relieved of his post as the prime minister, he is going to move to a rented house in Dhumbarahi because his residence in Budhanilakantha is currently undergoing reconstruction.

It is expected that Deuba will live in the rented house for three to four months as the construction work at his Budhanilakantha residence is expected to last for that long.

On Monday, the new Prime Minister, Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Dahal at present is staying at his private residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur as Deuba is yet to vacate the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar.
