Senior journalist Shrestha no more

Senior journalist Manindra Lal Shrestha has passed away after battling against cancer for long. He was 79.

Shrestha died at his residence in Pepsicola, Kathmandu, today morning, according to family sources.

Born in Basantapur, Palpa district, he was with the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, the National News Agency, and served the nation’s journalism sector for around three decades.

Senior journalist Shrestha leaves behind his spouse, three daughters and a son. His last rites would be conducted at the Pashupati Aryaghat today itself, the Shrestha family said.
