NC’s Mukta Kumari Yadav files candidacy for House deputy Speaker

Nepali Congress lawmaker Mukta Kumari Yadav on Friday filed her nomination for the deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

She registered her candidacy for the post reaching the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar on Friday.

Yadav was proposed by NC’s Badri Prasad Pande and supported by Loktantrik Samajwadi Party’s Sarvendra Nath Shukla and CPN (Unified Socialists)’s Met Mani Chaudhary.

Yadav, a central committee member of the party, is a former member of the National Assembly.

The election will take place on Saturday.
