CAN lifts suspension on Sandeep Lamichhane

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has revoked the suspension on former national cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane.

A meeting of the CAN central committee on Tuesday night made the decision in Pokhara. The decision of the cricket governing body meant CAN paved the way for the 22-year-old to play at the national and international tournaments.

Lamichhane, who was suspended in September last year after an arrest warrant was issued against him in Kathmandu over an alleged case of coercion of another person. He was granted bail for the equivalent of around USD 15,300 but was barred from leaving the country until the final verdict.
