ACC Premier Cup: Nepal and UAE set to face off in the final

Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have advanced to the finals of the ACC Premier Cup Cricket tournament being held in Kathmandu. Nepal secured their spot in the finals based on the fact that Nepal had entered the semi-finals by being the group champion, while UAE overcame Oman in a tightly contested match based on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) system.

The match between Nepal and Kuwait was affected by rain, resulting in a shortened match where Nepal set a target of 281 runs based on the DLS system. Kuwait scored 37 runs after losing 6 wickets in 8.3 overs, but the match was again stopped due to rain. As Kuwait did not play till 20 overs, the match remained meaningless and Nepal secured their place in the finals  as it had entered the semi-finals by being the group champion.

In the other semi-final match, UAE defeated Oman by 2 runs based on the DL system. After UAE set a target of 237 runs, Oman scored 190 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 43 overs before the match was postponed due to rain.

The final match between Nepal and UAE is set to take place on Monday, where both teams will battle it out for the coveted ACC Premier Cup title. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Oman will play for third place on Sunday.
