Afghan Interim Government Launches Key Development Projects in Eastern Provinces

The Afghan interim government’s Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has launched 69 essential development projects worth more than 969,000 U.S. dollars in Paktika province, according to a statement released late Thursday. These projects, located in the Waza Khwa district, include the construction of bridges, culverts, protective walls, check dams, rural roads, and irrigation canals.
In a similar move, the administration also initiated 85 development projects in Nangarhar province a few days ago, focusing on agriculture, roads, and culverts. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to improve infrastructure and public services across the eastern regions of the country.
Since taking power three and a half years ago, the Afghan interim government has undertaken a series of development and infrastructure initiatives to rebuild the country. These projects include the construction of dams, water canals, highways, roads, and solar power systems aimed at revitalizing Afghanistan’s economy and rural areas.
