
All religions and cultures get equal opportunity in democracy: NC president Deuba


Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said it is only in a democracy that all ethnicities, languages, religions, and cultures get an equal opportunity.
Extending best wishes on the occasion of the Janai Purnima and Gaijatra festivals today, he stated that protecting all the cultural heritages and keeping these festivals alive for future generations is our common duty and responsibility.
‘Nepal is a beautiful country full of multi-caste, multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-religious characteristics. The various ethnic communities here have their unique customs, lifestyles, traditions, and festivals. We have our tradition of goodwill, respecting every festival,’ NC president Deuba said in his message and on his own and on behalf of the Nepali Congress, wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity to all the Nepali on the occasion of Janai Purnima and Gaijatra festivals.
