Ambassador Tuladhar Presents Letters of Credence to Danish King

Nepal’s Ambassador to Denmark, Sumnima Tuladhar, presented her Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Frederik André Henrik Christian of Denmark in a formal ceremony held at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on Tuesday.

Following the presentation, Ambassador Tuladhar paid a courtesy call on the Danish monarch, during which she conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. She extended their hopes for the King’s continued good health and the lasting prosperity of the Danish people, the Nepali Embassy in Denmark reported.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various aspects of the Nepal-Denmark bilateral relationship, emphasizing areas of mutual cooperation and goodwill.

King Frederik warmly recalled his visit to Nepal in 2015, shortly after the devastating earthquake, where he participated in humanitarian relief efforts in the country’s western region. He also expressed concern over the impacts of climate change, particularly on the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.

In response, Ambassador Tuladhar briefed the King on Nepal’s preparations for the upcoming Sagarmatha Sambaad – Everest Dialogue, an international platform aimed at addressing the accelerated melting of glaciers and the broader environmental challenges facing mountain communities.
