ANFA Vice President Dawa Lama Arrested for Narcotics Offense
In a significant development, the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has apprehended Dawa Lama, the Vice President of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Lama was arrested today in Kathmandu after being on the run for a considerable period.
Superintendent of Police Rabindra Regmi, spokesperson for the Crime Investigation Office, confirmed Lama’s arrest, stating that it was in connection with his conviction for narcotics-related offenses dating back to 2064 BS. Lama had been found guilty of involvement in the illegal trade of brown heroin by the High Court Patan.
“Lama had been evading authorities since the court’s verdict. However, our team successfully located and arrested him today,” SP Regmi stated.
