Babarmahal Drinking Water Pipeline Maintenance Completed

The repair of a burst drinking water supply pipeline at Babarmahal has been completed after nearly 20 hours of maintenance work, officials confirmed.
The pipeline burst on Wednesday during horizontal drilling conducted by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for underground power cable installation. The incident caused severe waterlogging in the area, disrupting supply and traffic.
According to Ashok Kumar Poudel, Chief Executive Officer of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), the maintenance began on Wednesday night and has now been successfully completed. “Water distribution will resume soon after final supply testing,” he stated.
