Bal Krishna Khand Denies Involvement: ‘I Am Not Involved in This Incident’
Former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, who is recently sent for judicial custody in connection with the case involving fake Bhutanese refugees, has asserted his innocence.
The district court in Kathmandu ordered Khand and 15 other individuals to be remanded in custody following the hearing on Friday.
Speaking briefly to the media after being informed of the court’s decision, Khand maintained his innocence and denied any involvement in the incident. He stated, “I was not involved in this incident. I am innocent.”
Khand admitted that he had not read the complete order but expressed his commitment to abide by it.
Kathmandu District Court Judge Prem Prasad Neupane has ordered all the accused be sent to judicial custody except Tanka Gurung and Laxmi Maharjan who have been ordered to be released on bail of Rs 1 million and Rs 500,000 respectively.
