Bamdev Gautam Ready to Rejoin UML if Invited by Chairman Oli
National Assembly Member Bamdev Gautam expressed his willingness to rejoin the CPN-UML party.
In a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly premises on Wednesday, Gautam stated that he would gladly return to the party if invited by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
Gautam’s statement followed the decision by CPN-UML to suspend the 70-year age limit for individuals becoming central committee members of the party. He asserted that if this age limit provision was lifted, he and his associates would rejoin the UML since they believed that it was specifically introduced to target them. Gautam emphasized that he would readily accept an invitation to rejoin the party.
Despite not currently being affiliated with the UML, Gautam clarified that his party membership remained active. He stated that if the age limit was indeed suspended with the intention of including him, he would actively contribute to the party’s advancement and enhancement upon returning.
Furthermore, Gautam emphasized that he held no aspirations to become the party chairman or general secretary. He firmly stated that his intention, should he rejoin the UML, would be to share his extensive experiences with the party, rather than seeking any leadership roles.
