Bangladesh Secures U-19 Asia Cup Title

In a spectacular display of cricket prowess, Bangladesh emerged victorious in the U-19 Asia Cup, securing the title with a commanding 195-run triumph over the UAE in the final match.
The UAE, having earned their spot in the final by defeating Pakistan, faced a formidable challenge against Bangladesh, who dominated the proceedings from the outset.
Chasing a target of 283 runs set by Bangladesh, the UAE faltered, losing all their wickets in just 24.5 overs and managing a paltry total of 87 runs. Only two UAE batsmen, Dhruv Parasar (25 runs) and Akshat Rai (11 runs), reached double-digit scores against the formidable Bangladesh bowling attack.
Bangladesh’s Maruf Mridha and Rohanat Borson starred with the ball, each claiming three wickets, while Ikbal Hussain and Shik Jibon secured two wickets apiece.
Playing on home turf, the UAE had won the toss and elected to field, allowing Bangladesh to post a competitive total of 282 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Opener Ashiqur Rahman Shibli stole the show with a magnificent century, scoring 129 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan Chaudhary contributed 60 runs, and Ariful Islam added 50 runs to the scoreboard.
Ayman Ahmed of the UAE was the standout bowler, taking four wickets against the Bangladeshi batting lineup.
Bangladesh had earlier reached the final by defeating India in the semifinals. Notably, Nepal, despite participating in the competition, was eliminated in the group stage, suffering defeats to all three teams: India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
