Barshaman Pun Confirmed as New Finance Minister of Nepal

Amidst intense negotiations and party wrangling, Barshaman Pun, the Deputy General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Center), has been announced as the forthcoming Finance Minister of Nepal.
The decision comes after intense discussions and deliberations among coalition partners, with Barshaman Pun emerging as the consensus candidate for the crucial role of Finance Minister.
Under the coalition agreement, Barshaman Pun is set to take charge of the Finance Ministry, marking a pivotal moment in Nepal’s economic governance.
Furthermore, as part of the coalition’s distribution of ministerial portfolios, the UML secures eight positions, while CPN (Maoist Center) is allocated five, RSP four, and JSP two, respectively.
