Bibek Ojha’s ‘Aainthan’ Clinches Madan Puraskar 2079
The Madan Puraskar Guthi has revealed the distinguished recipients of the highly coveted Madan Puraskar and Jagadamba-Shree awards for the year 2079 BS.
In a meeting convened by the Madan Puraskar Guthi on Sunday, Bibek Ojha’s exceptional novel ‘Aainthan’ was declared the winner of the Madan Puraskar 2079. ‘Aainthan’ thoughtfully explores the theme of the armed conflict and its profound impact on Nepali society.
The Madan Puraskar Guthi received an impressive 313 submissions, following which a dedicated committee meticulously reviewed the entries and ultimately selected ‘Aainthan’ as the standout book of the year.
Furthermore, the esteemed Jagadamba-Shree award will be presented to the accomplished painter Tek Bir Mukhiya.
The official award ceremonies for both these prestigious accolades will take place on the auspicious occasion of Kojagrat Purnima. Both winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 400,000, recognizing their exceptional contributions to Nepali literature and the arts.
