Binod Chaudhary Also Entangled in Govt Land Scandal, CIB Trying for Arrest
Business magnate-turned-politician Binod Chaudhary, the sole Nepalese billionaire globally and a Nepali Congress lawmaker, has come under scrutiny amid allegations of embezzling government land. The accusations follow the recent arrest of his brother, Arun Chaudhary, in connection with improper acquisition charges related to the Bansbari leather shoe factory’s land.
According to a reliable source from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), ongoing efforts are underway to apprehend Binod Chaudhary. The CIB has expressed a firm commitment to hold all individuals involved in government land embezzlement accountable.
A police source revealed, “Government land has not only been identified under the ownership of Arun Chaudhary but also in the name of Binod Chaudhary. The CIB is actively pursuing Binod Chaudhary, leaving no room for him to evade capture.”
Investigations have exposed the alleged misappropriation of government land dating back to the Panchayat period. The police source disclosed, “Unlawful acquisition of government land has been traced from the Panchayat era in 2042 up to the democratic period.”
Authorities are conducting a thorough and comprehensive inquiry into the allegations against Binod Chaudhary, ensuring a detailed examination of the situation.
